Can't I just use the turbo gauge to control boost and not push it too far? I used to get a fairly low boost and then when I had some work done on it, all of the sudden it boosted well. It involved replacing the clutch so maybe they knocked that center hose off and that is why I got good boost again. The nipple is broken so I just can reconnect but I suspect it has been off for a year and probably why again I have been having good boost. If I still have detonation protection through the APC and the detonation sensor that I think is on the engine, would it be safe to just rely on the boost gauge to not push it too far?
