TRacer,
Thank you for your response. Yes, I did test the injectors with a noid light. However, haven't been able to "catch" anything when it takes a long time to crank. I did do electrical tests with a voltmeter on the injectors and everything was correct. I have replaced the spark plug wires including the wire to the ignition coil. I have also tested the ignition coil and everything was correct there.
I also removed the coolant temp sensor to test it and that passed as well. Granted, I didn't test it when it takes awhile to crank.
No loss of coolant.
No oil in the distributor so the internal seal is presumably fine. The position sensor on this car is positioned behind the crankshaft pulley; I changed that because the other one had failed and caused a stalling issue. That issue is fixed. When the unpredictable cranking persisted, I tried a different sensor in the event the replacement was defective. No difference.
If it takes awhile to crank, it seems most likely to happen when you drive it about 30 minutes, let it sit about an hour and a half, then restart it. Again, it's unpredictable.
