Notchy 5th gear

89 turbo car, 200k on the clock. When I got the car, first thing I did was change the gear oil that was in the gearbox to 10-30 oil. Drove the car 4 miles home, and it sat for 2 years in the garage while I did a mini cosmetic restoration. Started driving it 2 weeks ago, and noticed that when the car is hot, 5th gear above 45mph is notchy, grindy sounding to engage. All the other gears are perfect, no pinion whine, etc. 5th gear the only problem. Decided to drain the 10-30 out and try the Honda MTF fluid, maybe a bit better, but problem still there. All the adjustments are good, no other problems. Best, tightest 900 I have ever had. Wondering if I should try something like the Redline GL4 75 gearbox oil, or just a regular non synthetic GL4 oil. Really would hate to have to go into this gearbox if a thicker oil would do the trick. Open for advice!
