It's always disconcerting when things like that break-
and you know it's broken-

and then it fixes itself, even though you know it can't.

Me, I'd change the brake and clutch fluids,
and see how long it takes to fail again!

I am in the other camp- I only change things
preventatively 'while I'm in there'.
So in this case, I'd throw the master in,
bleed it, and drive it. Maybe order a spare
slave and hose when I order some other parts,
but maybe not, as they're not cheap, and covid ate
my car budget.

And then live dangerously.

But I DO respect the other view- do it once, do it right.
