tripod bearings not fitting into rebuilt transmission

Hey guys,
I'm finishing up a project here, installing a rebuilt transmission from Eriksson Industries, welded in the "Safe-T-Cap" kit, a bunch of new parts, etc. I'm almost done but surprisingly the axles are not going into the rebuilt transmission. The car is a 1991 900 Turbo, originally an automatic transmission car that several years ago I converted to manual, using a 1991 donor car. The inner drivers on the rebuilt transmission are too small. I measured the tripod bearing diameter at 37mm, and the widest part of each of the three inner driver openings is 36mm. So I read the archives here and read that the tripod bearings were increased in size in 1985, so I bought a pair of axles on ebay from a 1984 900. I just received those and tried inserting them into the inner drivers on the rebuilt transmission, but they don't fit either. The 1984 tripod bearings are approximately 34mm in diameter, but they appear to be wider, they just don't fit, not even close. Does anyone have any ideas on why neither of these sizes fit the inner drivers? I could look into contacting Eriksson Industries, but I bought this from them about seven years ago and am just now getting around to installing it. Thanks for any help you can provide. I made a video that I'm gonna give to Scott of the welded in kit, will try to do that soon.
Thanks,
Rob
