Hi Bernie,
I’ve already made sure my TPS is working properly and my dashpot and throttle position setup is all functioning as it should. I manually throttled it up and down, and the car will not try to stall until the throttle plate is in the closed position (it clicks). Up until a hair before it is absolutely fine, just as soon as it’s “closed” the rpms dive. Not sure if that is any clue.
I also opened up the throttle body to check the butterfly valve and it was totally clean. Same with the idle air control valve.
AMM is fine it’s far as I can tell, I think the only test for that (other than replacing it) is checking that the wire inside of it glows after shutting off the car, and it did.
I also tested resistance and continuity of the ignition coil and it’s connection to the ignition control module and it all checks out fine.
Also checked the spark plugs and spark plug wires; they are all sparking and the engine does not appear to be running rich from the look of the plugs themselves.
I am at a total loss with this problem!!
