OK, I'll try to answer:
The car is Talledega Red 219. The Whale tail was not mounted but came with the car when purchased used. It was already painted Red but the surface is flat/rough and while it matches OK, it doesn't look perfect and would need some work to make it smooth and shiny. I doubt it is clear coat. I mounted it using 3M trim adhesive (not the foam-based stuff) which comes on a roll with release film on one side. Really gooey sticky stuff grey in color. I only suggested the 5200 for bonding the metal to the rubber parts - not for bonding the whale tail to the hatch lid. Finally, yes it is heavy and requires extra-stout gas struts to support it.
