Bernie - Great to hear from you! I’m in Tucson, AZ. While living in Santa Fe and southern California, I had a 9000CSE and 2 Kombi stick wagons, but had multiple ecu issues with both. My 86 is my 1st 900. I love the real headlights, driving position, great visibility, and comfortable cloth seats! She stumbles severely in the Tucson cold (though only down to 28 degrees this year), and, of course , Check Engine light blinks until engine is shut off, but, I can beat it by going beyond light throttle and keeping the revs high. Have a very stable idle once warmed up. Since there seemed to be a limited quantity of 86’s available, I went against all normal practices previously strictly adhered to over the years when buying an older vehicle. Didn’t fly to South Carolina to inspect it. Didn’t think to ask if the brakes worked, if the driver’s side wiper drive was broken, if it overheated, or if it needed CV boots. So, having addressed these issues, and changing the fuel filter and spark plugs, I haven’t done any work on the injection system. I’m really not an electrical guy, so I’m hesitant to mess with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Bruce
