Yes, like I said it's my favorite year. There are some easy things you can do that may make your car run better without attacking the LH fuel injection system. These are all basically electrical basic's that make sure the correct signals are received and made by the fuel injection system.
1. There are 2 grounds located on the intake manifold near cylinder number 4 that you can remove and clean off any oxidation on both the ground wire terminal and were it connects. A little extra resistance here can cause anything from some little glitches to not running.
2. In addition cleaning the battery terminals and posts on the battery. If the terminal ends are original they are probably brass so it takes a bit to clean the corrosion off. I have seen this fix many rough idles.
3. Clean the connection of the negative battery cables to both the transmission and the body.
I am running out of time this AM so I will post some things to try, look at on the fuel injection system later. Good Luck, Bernie
