85 fuel pump replacement in 900 turbo

On my 1985 900 turbo (168K 5 speed), I'm thinking of replacing the fuel pump before the SOC drive. I have the tool to remove the locking ring. I've been reading posts and searching for a pump and only found a pump assembly for $1k Canadian from Nordic speed. Is there a less expensive solution for the pump and associated parts? Does an 85 have a pre-pump? I don't mind ordering all the parts to rebuild my assembly. This would be my first time attempting this so how hard is it to do and what replacement parts are recommended? I do 90% + of my own work on my 900. The car is starting and running perfectly right now but I'm just leery of driving over 2800 miles on a 40 year old pump.
