It’s a plastic part that works like a faucet to control the flow of coolant through the heater core. The two hoses from the engine connect under the hood and then the valve bolts onto the heater core with two o-rings to seal. It looks like the part comes with the o-rings and esaabparts has it with higher quality viton o-rings.
