It looks to me like if the wastegate "hat" were clocked 90 degrees counterclockwise, the tube connection would reach, and it would be "under" and a more direct routing........
Those connectors are made by Cohline. Reach out to Belmetricn I believe in Connecticut, and I think they have what you need. They are super helpful on the phone, you might have to try a few times to get through.
I made my own lines for the water cooling of the later model turbo, from the same geometry compression fittings, nuts, and couplings as that backpressure signal line.
Cohline has a presence in the USA, but for the most part, they are a distribution branch for the German supplier. Belmetric has a good collection of the product, and there are Porsche parts suppliers that also retail the parts they stock.
My 1981 turbo had the same setup as what you have there. Is your exhaust manifold OK? Make sure when you assemble all the hardware that you don't "PULL" or "PUSH" any of the bolt mounts to put stress on the runners. I have seen a majority of the exhaust manifolds crack, and they are tough to weld, you have to have a very specialized outfit to tackle that job. In other words, be darn careful with that exhaust manifold.
OH, and if you don't connect it, but block it off, that engine will run like a scared cat.......the signal line is to open the wastegate, so if you don't open it, well you get pretty much the max boost from what I recall......
