Does anyone remember the times 8v was normal and 16v was something "expensive" and more sporty in 4 cyl. motors. the 16V-badge on the rear end of the japanese #¤%#¤ was Cool and desirable...
Now 16v is de facto standard in almost every engine... The best ones even (like reffered before) fit the 3 Valves into one cyl.
Does anyone still remember the time that 13" wheels were just ok almost in every european and japanese cars. There was a few exceptions to this... Saab & Volvo, maybe MB etc using 15" some not so sure about the right size used the 14"... Ok, some _real_sport_cars were using bigger inches...
Now you need to have @least 16" wheels or your car is nothing... 17" or more is better, more sportier they say...
Also now you need to have brushed aluminium or carbon fiber in the interior... Any cheap car nowadays have somekind of decoration made of plastic that looks almost like precious wood... Yuk!
And now you need to have the "clear" headlights & tail lights etc. And for me they look so ugly! Yuk!
So one thing happened,,, Marketing Bu## Sh## a.k.a fashion came in to the car markets... Marketing guys most probably told that now you need to ...
