What I found with timing components and opinions

I took off the timing cover on my 94 CS Turbo last week to change the timing components and thought I would post what my experience has been so far and seek some opinions
There is no obvious wear on the gears (timing: camshafts and crankshaft, balance; idler, balance shafts and crankshaft).
The alignment marks on camchaft and balance shafts lined up pretty closely but it is not possible to say how closely they were in allignment with TDC because there are no reference marks once the timing cover is removed. If the timing chain was streached then they probably would not be aligned perfectly with TDC.
I am not sure if I am missing something here considering the issues with timing components. The car has had oil changes every 3K since new and has 120k on it.
I am going to change the chains and guides but am wondering if its worth changing all the gears.
Any opinions ?
Ram
