That's alright... I actually got different things from the posts.
I should clarify... My fan is _always_ on, so it's not about airflow. If I'm moving but leave it in neutral, the temp will rise. If I rev it to 2500, it drops very fast.
I'm inclined to think thermostat too-- I've been making it work harder by having the fan always on-- but I can't quite figure out exactly what would be happening. I'm fairly sure that the thermostat is not stuck open.
I guess I need to fix the fan wires so it will function normally. The mechanic just really $%#%ed it up. There's maybe an inch of wire coming out of the big bundle, and it's just not enough to work with. Why they didn't change the connectors on the switch instead, I don't know... I can't imagine why they cut the ones on the car back so far.
