No wonder Europe's so much farther ahead of us in oil quality specifications & extended drain intervals! Why Napa Golds? Have you learned something, or is it just a new preference? I'm still using up my remaining UK-made ACDelco PF13s, but already have some Pure One filters in the same jumbo size. You should make your life a little easier & run this interval & the next for 11k mi, so that you can get on an even (10k ea) odometer reading. I just changed my NA C900 at 174k (A-Rx clean & rinse intervals), which really hosed me up for my planned 20k mi OCIs. I'm thinking of going 22k for the next three intervals to get back on an even odometer schedule.
A NEW pickup?? Boy, that insurance check for the old 9000 must've been HUGE! :-D (And why is this preferrable to a Swedish car with heated seats? I mean, I understood the beater-truck-for-winter concept....) Is the OLS monitor set up for syn or dino? I say, use the RP during the warranty period, then switch the truck over to LM. Dude, with the M1 in the 9K, you'll be running your own fleet of syn oil tests!!
