Power, used with care is a safety feature. We had once incident when she was first learning to drive a stick when she launched the 9K quite hard. There was a little sand on the road and she lit up the tires for about 25 feet. I never do that, but it was fun, but it really startled her! As with your 442 experience, she didn't think to let off the go pedal right away.
I have no idea how she will drive once I am not in the car and she is licensed. It has been impressed upon her that tickets are not cool and will drastically affect the insurance of which she is paying half. I just know the siren song of full boost can be very addicting and would prefer to keep it toned down until she has more experience. I was even thinking that if we found a good FPT 9000 I would unplug the BPC for awhile so she could drive around on base boost. Can always adapt up later.
I'm leaning toward a 9K, but it does depend on what we find. No hurry...just want to find something by early summer. This is gonna be an adventure.
