You have ably identified the one risk: TCS. I had a 92 9000 for about 7 years so I know about TCS. FWIW there seem to be two kinds of cars from those years: the ones that have chronic TCS problems, and the ones that don't. My experience was I needed to replace the check valve and that was it. Do you have access to the 93's service history? No history of TCS problems would be a plus IMHO. Even if you cannot get a complete service history, you should be able to get the warranty claim history from any SAAB dealer using the VIN.
