even though I own a '98 CSE (last year of the 9000's and came with some Aero options), the '94 Aero will have far more goodies than the '97 CSE. At 120K miles, that baby has a lot of life left. The fact that you know the history is also a plus. There is no truth to the fact that the auto is less reliable than the stick since the stick has its fair share of problems (as evidenced on this board), but that will be a decision you will need to make depending upon your driving lifestyle.
The 9000 changed very little from '94 on, so although you'd be purchasing a 12-yr old car (you always count the year of the car when calculating the age), it's not that much different (appearance, handling, performance) than a 9-yr old car.
