you have a history on it.
Records make a huge difference in these cars. You know what was done, when, and anything chronic.
The 12K difference in mileage is a non-issue if the car has been well maintained, which seems very likely. The '94 is probably actually a better car from a mechanical standpoint, given its known history.
OTOH, see if you can get records for the '97. Then you can make a really informed choice. Body damage is a tip-off, though. If they didn't care enough to fix it, what else did they ignore?
