Well, any car you get is going to break... Brand new, off three year old leases, or that 30 year old Chevy...things are going to break. Just need to make an evaluation on what you are able to spend on the car, spend on repairs within a timeframe, and what your most important priorities are with the car. I gave it some thought today after talking to you on AIM, and if your able to keep that Monte Carlo beast around as a backup...I say go for it.
if your a traveling salesman, putting 60k on the car a year it would be best to just keep the Aero as a "when im home on the weekend car"... Since your going to school now, those added expenses could hit at a wrong moment as well...however the same could happen with your 87... I just feel that 9ks are overall more expensive to maintain to the same degree as a 900...
There will always (to some limit) be another Aero out there, or a Viggen or SPG...if you buy, buy with the warrenty but be *exactly* sure what it covers. "under the hood" may not cover the computers under the driver's seat ;-)
However, this is all coming from someone who their daily Saab is down and the weekend backup as well... ;-0
