My car started acting curiously last week. Bucking and kicking in 1 st and 2nd gear
Check Engine Light came on Monday.CEL Flashes 2 and 6. Car drives in "Limp Home Mode" Very intelligent, shuts down AC
Here is what I have done:
Replaced DI
Replaced Plugs (Fouled badly)
Replaced Fuel Filter
Sealed possible vacuum leak
BY COINCIDENCE I have a FUEL AIR RATIO METER on my dash. Normally the thing pulses all the time and is meaningless. Now I see it Maxed out and constant and "Rich" all the time, with constant ouput. This F/A Ratio meter is hooked directly to O2 SENSOR
Pulled O2 sensor. Ohms between two white wires is 3.9. O2 sensor was not as fouled as I thought it would be.
D%^%&^^! I was all set to do Performance Mod (top secret) NOW I cant even do simple basic troubleshooting. VERY HUMBLING.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Finally if its O2 is there a generic equivalent? Volvo O2 is 156 bucks, Mustang GT V8 equivalent is $35.00
