I have poly bushing in the engine side mount and a stock rubber horizontal one in my '96 CSE 5-speed. I never drove the car with all rubber, but this set up has minimal vibration and works fine.
My '95 CS automatic has rubber in both and is also fine. There are enough other car-to-car differences so I can't say one is really better than the other. The '95 seems a little smoother in some ways, but I don't know I can attribute it to the mounts alone.
Poly will give you more vibration which may or may not matter to you, but less vibration is usually a good thing, at least on longer trips.
