I have also had a 900S and a 9000, the 9000 now handles better with less body roll. Three low-cost easy improvements that will make a difference:
1. Polyurethane rear bushings for the front control arms. These parts made a huge improvement in control, chances are that your original rubber bushings are cracked or worn. I used the ready-to-go bushings from Eeuroparts that just bolt in, but have had continual issues with creaking when it is cold outside; not sure if the Powerflex or Superflex parts are any better, but they do require more work to install (need to gut the current parts to keep the metal mounts).
2. Polyurethane mounting bushings for the rear sway bar (a.k.a. antiroll bar). Several manufacturers make these, I bought generic parts (oversized, but they fit) from Energy Suspensions for about $15.
3. New sway bar links for the front sway bar. I used Febi/Bilstein parts, equivalent to OEM; chances are your current pars are worn and loose. You may also want to replace the mounting bushings; there is some debate about using OEM rubber vs. poly here.
Replacing all of these parts will cost less money than one new shock absorber!!!
