Massive front end damage on a car that is design to let itself be destroyed to protect the occupants is dicy at best, and may never be the same.
A 96 in great shape can be bought for under $4000, maybe under $3000.
Find another car, even if you have to travel.
cars.com, carsoup.com, craigs list,....
There are a lot of places to look.
