You're not the only one to have a little trouble shifting these cars. My girlfriend had a few days before she really got the hang of it. My advice would be, be nice to first gear! And second really. First gear doesn't like to be reved that high. As Saabnutt said, take your time going through the gears. It's very easy to not have the clutch in enough to make the difference in a smooth shift. These cars, especially ones with syncro issues don't like to have the stick moved too quickly when changing gears. Take your time and feel it out and you'll get it. Once you find that sweet spot, it'll be all smiles. I get excited EVERY single time I get to go drive either 9000 anywhere. I agree with Saabnutt, best car I have ever bought, besides a 900.
