I have a love hate relationship with these Pesky Saabs, after 26 years of being 'owned' by one or another Saab I'm entitled (?) to a certain 'grumpiness' regarding their foibles ..maybe?? :-)
I sincerely wish the Kids' pesky Aero and it's TCS was one of the 'good' ones.
It..is.. however, reassuring to hear that some do indeed work well and reliably. Fewer owners is part of the solution imo.
Anything can be fixed of course, but the time/$ threshold is not overly high on a $2 or 3k automobile
As digression, I used to distrust the Autoboxes as well.. lotsa Internet lore on 'those' as well .. but after 'repairing' too many 5spds, I've discovered the dreaded ZF is (imo) errr.. actually more reliable .. go figure.
