Low pressure sensors can be very touchy about vibration from their mounting and the connecting hose. I would use only the standard length factory hose for the MAP sensor. A small hose clamp or tie wrap to retain the hose is ok. The hose can not resonate at high and low temperature, and with engine vibration from idle to max RPM. Its soft texture may help dampen pressure pulses from the intake manifold. The manifold pressure bounces around a lot with each intake valve opening.
