Hopefully this will help someone doing a search: In the past, many here have recommended the Group 34R (reverse poles) as THE battery to buy for all but the newest 9000s. I needed a new battery today, called an Interstate Battery store and found out that this size has been DISCONTINUED. New sizes recommended on their site are Group 91 and Group 47.

I can't say if either of these will work, as I had to get one ASAP and headed to my local AutoZone store. The Group 48 size that is in their in-store database as fitting our cars is much too long. It's shorter cousin the GROUP 41 (Part number 41-DL) will fit and is what I wound up buying for $105.99. Note that there is only a two year guarantee on their Duralast line of batteries, which is not very impressive.
