I'm having a hard time keeping my 9000's in drive-able shape. Just did the left front axle, hub and brakes on my wife's CSE. I still need to do the right front corner. The CV on that side wasn't noticeable until I replaced the left. After that I need to do the right front corner on my Aero. Same problems minus the hub, I hope. I have a sticking left rear caliper on my Aero, coolant consumption on the CSE, intermittent headlight problems on both. Just getting tired of always having to fix something with no time to do it. I was looking for a reliable, newer car that my wife can drive to and from work. I was thinking Toyota Corolla or something like it. Then I started looking at Toyota Venza's. They stopped making them in 2015 but not necessarily because they were bad. They just didn't have a place in the lineup that needed filling. It's a Camry with a wagon/SUV look to it. I don't find them ugly. FWD or AWD but the gas mileage isn't very good. That's a minus. That pointed me toward the Subaru Outback. Good mileage but they have a CVT transmission and I'm not crazy about that. There have been some reported issues with them and, knowing Subaru, it may turn into a big black eye once they get some miles on them. After looking at the reviews and comparing competitive vehicles I started looking at the Mazda 6. Only FWD, no AWD, and I actually was considering one back when they had the Mazdaspeed 6. There seem to be quite a few around and the reviews seem pretty decent. I have driven plenty of Mazda and Toyota rental cars and I always thought the Mazda's drove pretty well. I also didn't mind the Chevy Cruze for rental-mobile. Anything else I should consider that I might be overlooking? Looking for a lower mile(<40K miles) 2015-2017 under $20K.
