Diagnosis is supposedly coming tomorrow. But there was a jolt on the highway around the time she was shifting into 4th. Started smoking and I pulled over. Car died. Liquid leaking underneath. There is a bit of hope this is a busted seals issue. But lately the trans his been sticky; sometimes not shifting into 4th unless I toggle into 3rd then back into drive. And on cold start would have to warm up before smoothly shifting to second.
I had trans flushed the other month and they said it wasn’t very dirty. Didn’t make a difference for what I just described.
Also to note, I have 3” exhaust, stage 2 tune and open air intake.
I would love to do 5 speed swap though because, well, fun...
But I’ll settle for whatever gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time and keeps my car on the road as long as possible. 162k miles and I want to hit 300k :)
If you have the time to weigh in on this mint auto trans... they say they “think” it’ won’t fit a b234 but I am hoping they are wrong...
