Unfortunately those engine upgrades may well have killed off your transmission or at least been a contributing factor. When new the 9000 Aero with automatic trans did not have any more power than the CSE due to the limited torque capacity of the 4HP18. In fact even in the CSE the engine controller is programmed to limit torque compared to cars with manual transmission and it's the same in the Aero.

It's a lot more work and you'd need a donor car but from what I can see if you're really interested in performance with longevity in a 9000 you need a manual transmission. I really don't know the feasibility of doing the swap. I know it's a fairly popular modification for the C900.

As far as the eBay transmission, I did a quick search on "GA64107" and came up with a "Saab 9000 FAQ" PDF document on a Russian "saabnet" site that has a table of automatic transmissions used in the 9000. (The first 117 pages of this document are Russian but charts are English.) Search that document for "64107" and you'll find on page 128 it states that was the latest 4HP18 transmission for the B202I (2.0 liter) engine, which would be for earlier (pre-1990) 9000s. So if that info is accurate it appears the eBay advertisement is incorrect in stating the trans they are selling fits 1991-1998 models.
