These numbers are on an engine that has a fresh set of bearings and the oil pressure relief valve is new. At idle I'm running 16 lb of oil pressure. Mid revs I'm above 30. Above about 4,000 RPMs I'm over 50. It could also be that you just have a bad lifter or two making all the noise. But in all the years that I've been working on these cars I've only replaced maybe two lifters. So it definitely can happen may not have anything to do with your oil pressure at all ,fingers crossed. Let me know what it looks like under the valve cover. They make these little push on SharkBite type connectors that you can buy now that you can hook up your oil pressure gauge makes it really simple. Good luck
