A Voltmeter typical reads differently than the EDU on any of the 9000's I've owned. IMO it's Irrelevant.
Beyond Cleaning connections. Seriously consider having the Alternator Rebuilt. I had similar low Voltage readouts on My car's EDU after starts. Even down to 7.6 a couple of winter times. New battery gave only a slight improvement. So I had the alternator rebuilt at a Local Auto Electric shop. My car's Problem was fully solved with the New alt. In fact.. It then / now charges at 14.5V max rate (V worrisome .. so the Auto electric shop educated me on North American Battery Chemistry s' standard max charge rate of 14.5v compared to the Euro 13.5v standard) Something that can cause undercharging issues with owners retrofitting North American Batteries into Euro vehicles.
With assurance that IF any issues arose they would cover all resultant problems. This a shop I've used for ~20 years . A year on.. No issues whatsoever with 14.5v max charge rate. EDU consistently shows 11 or sometimes 10.5 v after a start. Also No More issues with remote unlocking.
