Thanks Again Goblin !!
I'm in Vermont & have no indoor space to do car works.
Usually we get very little weather such that I can plan a multi-day bit of work on the car, so I lean towards what I can get done in an afternoon & make a plan to head north for anything more serious - to my indie's place.
Of course since he is ~100 miles away in the boonies that too requires lots of cooperative planning.
The gearbox in my '94 is toast & was what took it off the road, combined with the growing rust it had.
Fortunately none of the ills I mentioned are too terrible & thus I can take things as slowly as need be to assure my auto-mobility as seldom as it is required.
By way of contrast, my '94 was required to go 80+ miles daily all 7 days of each week while my last gelding was still with me, and then I moved south to a very wet location which hastened the rusting.
Now I'm an old & mostly retired guy who does the mr. mom stuff here whereas my partner has a j-o-b & does ~40 miles 5 days a week in her Outback.
(And NO - she will never drive Mr. Aero as he is 5 speed...bwah-ah-ah !!)
