Update -- some issues resolved, others are new... My 1986 9000T was at Hutchings for about a year, and after Jim replaced the MIU and a few other things the car now no longer runs rich, which is great. However after having it back for a bit there are two new issues:
1. It consistently idles at about 1250 rpm and slightly higher with the a/c on. I tried adjusting the idle speed down but i can't get it below 1250, and i have also checked for vacuum leaks and can't find any. When i pinch the air hose that goes to the IAC value the idle drops substantially. If i unplug the IAC valve it will idle at about 1100 rpm with the a/c off and about 1000 rpm with the a/c on. I have tried cleaning the IAC valve, i have checked the voltage on the IAC valve connector, and have tapped on it when installed but that doesn't change anything.
2. It starts without any problem when cold, but it will not re-start when warm. Once off if I wait 10-15 minutes for the engine temperature to drop, it will restart.
Any advice on these two new issues would be greatly appreciated --
