A high idle on cold start is not abnormal, but perhaps the extent of it is, and stalling is. What is the ambient temperature? How does it run/perform in general? what do the plugs look like?
Temperature compensation in the AMM could be shot.
You could have a vaccuum leak you haven't found.
The throttle body could be dirty or the base idle could be set too low.
