Hey Bernie, the car is a '98. I've owned it since 2017, frag'd the trans shortly thereafter, and eventually got it back on the road in 2023. It didn't really seem to be making any valve noise until after I'd been driving it regularly for a year or so, so I'm assuming the caps and bolts are installed correctly or it would've made noise from the start, right? IDK, but I'm hoping it's "the usual" and can be solved with either a motor flush or removing and cleaning the lifters.
