about the Aux Air Valve...
when cold, my AAV is closed. pictures of this device seem to show that it is spring loaded(?) and should always be in the open position when cold. so if i understand... it warms up and begins to close cutting off additional air into the manifold. makes sense.
so can i take it apart? carb cleaner and WD 40 are not enough to get this "door" opened.
my 1978 turbo does not like to start when cold.
i know that the cold start injector is not working/opening during cranking, my gutsy friend held it aloft as i turned the key! i can put 12 volts to it and hear it open/close.
is there another device ahead of it responsible for sending voltage during cranking?
thanks guys, i know this thread has aged a bit, i have put a lot of thought into this over the last couple weeks. (mostly excited about my new membership to this site!!!!)
