The Schrader valve/bicycle pump method using a modified reservoir cap has been mentioned in Saab circles for a long time. The only problem with it is that it is hard to maintain the fluid level, particularly if you have the separate clutch reservoir that the ~78 cars had.
Some years ago, I got a Gunson EZ-Bleed from the UK. This uses tire pressure rather than a bicycle pump, but the main thing it has is a separate fluid reservoir between the pressure source and the reservoir.
It works like this: You fill the extra bottle with brake fluid. The cap for this bottle has two hoses. The first hose goes to the cap for the reservoir. This hose also goes all the way to the bottom of the bottle, to the bottom of the fluid.
The second hose (or just a Schrader valve is you'll use a bicycle pump) gets the air pressure. This hose/valve must not extend into the fluid at all. All hose connections and the cap must seal.
Air pressure is applied to second hose/valve. The air pressure pushes on the surface of the fluid, forcing it, from the bottom of the bottle, out the first hose into the reservoir, and once you open the bleeder, hopefully, out the bleeder screw. It's fast, easy, and works really well on 99/900 clutch lines.
You don't have to buy the Gunson kit, you can easily make something yourself from a pint plastic bottle (though you may want to test different bottles with your brake fluid to make sure the fluid won't dissolve the bottle!).
I got my Gunson years ago for about $25 online.
The other alternative for pressure bleeding is the much larger Motive Products bleeder for around $75. But one fill will let you bleed all four brakes on a Saab!
