Question regarding this free Saab Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Fri, 21 May 2004 08:26:02 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Due to a last minute scheduling conflict with the free Saab's owner and me, we are rescheduling the pickup, probably for next weekend.
He said the biggest problem is that the gas in it is very old and it is clogging the fuel filter. He said it will drive for a few miles then he has to disconnect the fuel filter, siphon out the bad stuff and re-connect it.
Question: to fix this do I get a new fuel filter, drain the gas tank, run some fuel system cleaner through or do you think I need to do something more drastic such as removing the gas tank and having it professional cleaned / sealed, etc?
I was thinking of getting a fuel filter on order so I could at least run this thing and play around with it a bit before deciding what to do with it once I have it.
