How far is your speedo off?
I'm running 195/60's on the 73 and I suspect an incorrect speedo reading on the highway, not too mention it likes to fluctuate through a 10 mph range while cruising. It's not such a big deal for me, cus I just go with traffic.
Do you have a tach in that car? The way my 74's tranny was geared, all I had to do was look at the tach in fourth gear to determine speed. If I was cruising at 3000 rpms, I was doing 60 mph....2500 rpms was 50 mph...and so on and so forth.:) Come to think of it, my 77EMS was the same way. I remember one time driving my boss to a job site down some country road. He wondered how fast we were traveling, and I told him to just look at the rpms and double the number to get speed...he looked over and noticed the tach was at 5000rpms = 100mph......he crapped his pants, but never told me to slow down, so I didn't. Those were the days! I think both of them were running 195/60's also.
