Stephen, No offense was intended to people making this move. I understand the reasoning, but it only makes sense say 20 years from now. Re-reading the posts just now, I'm curious as to why you simply didn't swap out a complete Motor/trans from one of these plentiful 99's available to you. this is what I was refering to about the advice. That would allow you to properly repair your existing motor pump issue, or perhaps cheaply get a complete upgade. That drivetrain swap is so easy and quick to do in a day, you'd be better off. It seams this electric pump is more popular out there in Seattle way wich has me quite puzzled because of 99 availability out there. I'm quite glad to see the 99's have a stronghold in that area, but that also always has puzzled me. There are more Saabs sold here in New England than anywhere else in the world, including Sweden. It's been that way for a long time.I've also seen cheep parts cars come up in vitually every part of the States, and forwarded that info over to 99'ers I knew lived that way including Ohio that was mentioned. With any older parts car today, you have to move fast on it or it will be lost to the crusher. Even Beetles are getting harder to find.
