You sure you dont have hot start problems? That main starter lead gets awful hot right under the exhaust manifold... If this is not your problem, then I would say you have a electrical issue to shakedown. Are your brake lights staying on? I know that is a common problem with the 900s. The ignition switch is finicky in my 99- If you dont quite turn it over far enough (you know, because your reverse lock out it more likely to lock YOU out!) the lights stay on. Turn it just a bit further, and you can get the lights to go out, but who knows what else might be on. If your igition is not switched all the way off, your fans could run down the battery- When the key is off only one has power, but if it is on, then both could spin. Failing all this, then well... Try a new battery? The turbos are known for cooking batteries since they are in such hostile conditions.
