Yes, I know what you mean about learning on every project. I learned quite a lot last year when I rebuilt every part of my braking system. The good thing about the NOS master is you have a great core. The pistons and internal parts are just about impossible to come by, but the rubber parts are still available. If you are interested in rebuilding it yourself there is a great article on rebuilding on the other vintage SAAB website--if you haven't found it already. I just wish I had read if first before tackling my recent rebuild.
I'm curious about your experience re-chroming the bumper. I need to eventually do that on my car too. Were you happy with the work? I had a quote from a local shop in the $1,000 range which seemed a bit pricy for me.
