Eric has the right ideas. Years of living with V4's at 7,000 feet elevation has taught me that an electric fuel pump at the tank solves many problems. Also the steel fuel line from the tank to the engine is the lowest point in the fuel system, so that is where water collects and causes corrosion issues inside the line. I replace that line with hard nylon fuel line from a C900.
Most problems with an electric pump are caused by a pump with too high pressure out put or incorrect location - too high and too far from the tank. Most pumps push fuel, but they are not very good at sucking it up. You need a pump that is in the 2-4 lb. press range.
Good Luck!
