Hi Bill,
I like the Airtex one but I found our a few months ago that you can't get them. The Facet is supposed to be well made and I'll probably order one at some point and see what the noise is like. Make sure you get 2.5 psi or so, or use a fuel pressure regulator if the pump is higher. If you go with a cheap pump, it might not be a bad idea to carry a spare just in case.
The Weber 34ICH is a great carb and is pretty much bolt on. Jack's book is very helpful in that regard. If you go with the 2 barrel Weber, it's more complicated, as you need a two-barrel manifold. And to really get the bang for the buck, you need ported heads and a bigger exhaust. The 34ICH doesn't need all that and will increase performance and be more reliable.
