Maybe I'm confused, however it does talk about this in the owners manual that when you stop the engine the radio etc remain on. If you open the drivers door , then they shut down.
In my 9-5 2004 Aero and 9-3 2005 Convertible, both with keys, when the the key is turned to the off position, the radio remains playing. Then when you actually remove the key the radio shuts down. So in all these cases it is not a case of actually having to turn the radio off it all takes care of itself.
This proves particularly useful when using blue tooth as often time I will arrive at a destination whilst on a phone call. No issue to shut off the engine as it all keeps going. But here as soon as I stop the engine everything stops dead and cuts off the phone call. So even though I can re engage the ignition function it is already too late. .
I know this may sound very nit picking but this new Saab is VERY well thought out and surprises me everyday with the attention that was paid in so many areas. Seems strange they would change the way they way have been doing it for years.
