At that low mileage, I'd go ahead and run a good engine flush, such as AMSOIL or BG. Then I'd drop in a load of synthetic ---AMSOIL by choice, Mobil 1 is very good. With AMSOIL, I'd plan to change the oil filter at 6 months, and the oil + filter yearly. With Mobil 1, I'd plan to run about 7500 miles on a drain.
You still have to pull the dipstick from time to time. If you see an increase in oil consumption after a couple thousand miles, change the filter and top off.
have heard nothing negative about Auto-Rx, but it does take longer to work.
