Only time I ever went to one of these places was in 1989 with my 1988 Saab SPG. The morons drained the gear box oil thinking it was the motor oil and put 4.5 quarts over and above what was in my motor. Never even bothered to check the dipstick. Had I not checked it in the parking lot before I left, I would have had a helluva mess on my hands.
A similar Quickie Boob outfit destoyed the engine on my neighbors 1989 Toyota Cressida, when the oil filter "fell" off. He finally got the 4k out of them in small claims court.
Dont let them get by with JB weld applications. Get an estimate from a Saab dealer to replace the pan and discuss with the District Manager. And then stay away from these butchers.
